Danse Macabre: Dark Arts in a Gothic Church
Kerk Attenhoven - Hoevenen, 5 & 6th of September 2026 – This September, the doors of a Gothic church will open for Danse Macabre, a unique art event immersing visitors in a world of mystery, beauty, and transience.
Drawing on the medieval motif of the “dance of death,” the event brings together contemporary artists, performers, and tattoo artists who reinterpret this timeless theme through installations, performances, and soundscapes. Within the solemn architecture of the church, light and shadow converge, transforming the sacred space into a living canvas where art and ritual intertwine.
Visitors can expect:
